Meet Tiana – a passionate early-morning runner whose energy, dedication, and love for the sport shine through in everything she does. Whether she’s fueling up on granola and yoghurt before a sunrise session or chasing down new PBs in her favorite event, the half-marathon, Tiana brings heart and purpose to every step. A proud City-Bay finisher and a big believer in starting the day doing what you love, she’s inspired by Aussie greats like Izzi Batt-Doyle and Jess Stenson and dreams of one day representing Australia on the world stage. When she’s not logging kilometres, you might find her belting out big ballads—singing has been a passion of hers since she was seven. For Tiana, being part of the BMRST2025 is nothing short of special.

Some fun facts about Tiana

What’s your go-to pre-run snack?

I typically run in the mornings so my pre-run breakfast is usually granola with yoghurt!

Do you prefer early morning or evening runs—and why?

100% early mornings - I love starting off the day doing what I love!

What’s your go-to post-run snack?

Either a piece of fruit or a YoPro yoghurt

What's your favorite race course?

I love racing the city-bay half-marathon - it's a special one for me because it was where I raced my first EVER half-marathon!

What is your favourite race distance?

I love racing the longer distances in winter particularly - both the 10km and half-marathon but I do also love racing the 5km on the track in the summer!

What race distance scares you most?

anything shorter than 1500m!

If you could run anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I've never been overseas before, so I'd love to explore everywhere - but I think Europe is high on my bucket list!

What’s the weirdest thought you’ve had on a long run?

I actually don't think I have one - I normally run solo long runs and don't think very much!

What is one piece of gear you can’t live without?

My Garmin

Pump-up song that gets you moving?

I don’t actually listen to music when I run but if I was to choose a song it’s be “Eye of the Tiger” (Survivor). There is a bit of a story behind it, where it was almost "selected" for me as a child, where my Dad and Uncles changed the lyrics and sing it to be "Eye of Tiana".

Who is your running hero or biggest inspiration?

Izzi Batt-Doyle, Jess Stenson and Tara Palm are a few of my biggest running idols, where I hope to one day follow in their footsteps in representing Australia across the 5000m-marathon distances!

What’s a non-running talent or fun fact about you?

I'm a singer!! I started vocal lessons on my 7th birthday - the same year I started running.

I LOVE challenging myself to learn songs with lots of big notes and performing at events.
